AOS Anterior - Automated Ocular Analysis
AOS Anterior gives clinicians an important tool in assessing ocular conditions with repeatable, accurate results that eliminate inter-clinician variability. AOS’s automated intelligence enables the clinician to analysis any digital image (including smartphone) to a higher level of accuracy than today’s gold standard, providing a consistent, objective grading compared to current grading systems (CCLRU / Efron) which are affected by the clinician’s subjectivity and experience.
AOS Anterior is device agnostic allowing the import and export of images/reports from any medical device or database. The User interface (UI) has general features for use on any image, with 3 specialist modes for use on various types of anterior segment imaging.
AOS Anterior is validated to the gold standard and can be used everywhere from the practice setting to clinical research, it is also being used as an educational tool both for patients and students.
AOS Anterior
Analysis
Analyse ocular digital images in 3 modes; Bulbar Redness, Lid (redness and dry eye), Fluorescein. Grade 0-4 Efron & CCLRU, Dry Eye 0-4 & % loss, count punctate, redness map and fluorescein build up (2D & 3D).
Import/Export
Import/Export any format image from a database or use the in-built crop function allowing the direct import of any image into software. Open the image of interest > select the crop function in AOS > Crop image of interest.
In-built reporting function
Our customisable in-built pdf generator allows the user to create “new`` or ``add to existing” patient reports capturing the results from your analysis with added fields for patient details and clinical comments.
Objective
Validated against the industry gold standard (CCLRU / Efron) achieving higher repeatability, lower variability between clinicians and a extremely high level of accuracy in comparison.
Enhance
Additional enhancement features include “Vessel enhancement”, “Red free”, “Digital Wratten filter”, and our all new “Digital ruler”. Adding more powerful tools to assist in making an objective diagnosis.

NEW Bulbar Redness - Comparison
The New Comparison feature allows the user to select two identically sized separate areas on the same image, each area automatically sizing to match any adjustments. Grading is displayed within the control panel. Now with AOS’s redness map has to give better visualisation of the selected areas.
Bulbar Redness - Grid Redness
After drawing the area to grade, the user can click on the ‘Grid Redness’ button which displays a grid over the selected area. The grid allows the user to measure the level of redness on specific points over the bulbar area. Again, the results are shown within the Control Panel.
NEW Feature - Vessel Enhancement
Available to download from our online store
Lid Redness - 0-4 grading
Fluorescein - Area
Fluorescein - Corneal Grid
NEW Feature - Digital Ruler
NEW Fluorescein - 2D Mapping
New in fluorescein mode, 2D mapping similar to AOS redness map allows the user to select an area of interest to assess fluorescein build up or corneal folds over the cornea. From blue to red indicating low to high fluorescein accumulation a great tool for contact lens fitting.
NEW Fluorescein - 3D Mapping
New in fluorescein mode, 3D mapping transforms 2D images into a visually striking 3D image, moveable on its axis giving a clearer indication of the amount of accumulation. Ideal for patient education offering a easy to understand visualisation of the adjustments required to correct fitting lens.
NEW Feature - Digital Wratten Filter
AOS’s new digital Wratten filter gives the user a single click option to instantaneously enhance the entire image. Additionally our wratten filter removes all digital noise giving clearer images to aid in diagnosis and can even enhance images taken with a standard Wratten filter.
NEW Feature - Image crop
Importing an image into AOS couldn’t be easier with the new image crop function. Simply open the image you wish to analysis, select the image crop icon on the control panel automatically returning you to the image you just opened, wait for the grey filter to cover the image then crop the area of interest, instantaneously importing it into the software.
Feature - PDF generator
AOS’s customisable pdf generator allows the user to create new or existing patient reports, transfering the analysed image and results into the report automatically, with selected fields for patient data and comments. Add multiple analysed images and results to one single report. Brand reports with your logo.
