AOS is nominated for Technology Supplier of the Year

12th October 2021

We’re delighted to reveal that AOS has been nominated for Technology Supplier of the Year at the Optician Awards 2021!

Taking place at the luxury Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair, London on 2 December, the awards ceremony marks the achievements of individuals and organisations throughout the industry. It will feature optometrists, dispensing opticians and contact lens practitioners; supplier nominations covering lenses, contact lenses, frames and service providers; through to practices, focusing on technology, contact lenses, social media and fashion.

The ceremony is a fantastic way to round off a year which has been challenging for businesses of all sizes, across all industries, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. For the eye care industry, the pandemic has resulted in vision events and conferences being put on hold – making our ability to showcase AOS technology more testing than ever before.

Catering for patient needs is at the forefront of both the patients’ and EPCs minds, so it was imperative to find a solution that navigates the restrictions posed in the era of coronavirus and lockdowns. That’s why our team have demonstrated to users how they can reach their customers virtually through telemedicine and virtual app photographs, bridging the gap to the unattainable patients thanks to our online diagnostic service

This patient-centric approach is designed to interact with patients wherever they are in the world, reducing chair time and allowing diagnostic conclusions to be reached in a timelier manner.

We too, have had to be proactive in our approach to make it as easy as possible for ECPs to engage with us remotely, utilising the social platforms they use the most and providing remote support over Zoom.

We’re constantly aiming to push the boundaries for what is possible in the world of eye care. Having grown from a PC-only, locally installed system into the web-based product we know today, we’re excited to continue this innovation with new products and features to give patients greater access to eye care.

The Technology Supplier of the Year Award will be presented to a company offering not only the best kit, but also in supporting customers. The winners will be announced on Thursday 2 December and you can follow along at home by searching the hashtag #opticianawards
